Macroni and four cheese

Rich and creamy, this is a deluxe macaroni cheese that can be served for an informal lunch. It goes well with tomato and basil salad. 

How to make Macaroni and four cheese

SERVE 4

Ingredients

250 g Macroni

50g butter

50g refined flour

600ml Milk

100ml heavy cream

50g Emmental cheese

50g fontina cheese

50g gorgonzola cheese

75g freshly grated parmesan cheese

Salt and Black pepper

Procedure

STEP 1

Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the packet. 

STEP 2

Meanwhile, gently melt the butter in a pan, add the flour, and cook, stir it for a minute. Add the milk a little at a time, keep whisking it and stir in the cream, bring it to boil, stir it till the sauce thickens, remove it from heat.

STEP 3

Add the Emmental, fontina, gorgonzola, and about a third of the grated parmesan to the sauce. stir well to mix in the cheese, taste it before seasoning it with salt and pepper. 

STEP 4 

Add pasta to the sauce and mix it well. Now transfer it to a baking dish, then sprinkle the remaining parmesan over the top. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden in color. serve it hot
