Matar Paneer

Ingredients:

1 cup paneer (cottage cheese), cut into cubes
1 cup frozen peas
2 medium onions, chopped
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
2 green chilies, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 inch ginger, minced
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
Salt, to taste
2 tbsp oil
Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
  2. Add chopped onions, green chilies, garlic, and ginger to the pan. Cook until the onions are golden brown.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook until they are soft and mushy.
  4. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt to the pan. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  5. Add frozen peas to the pan and cook for another minute.
  6. Add paneer cubes to the pan and gently mix everything together. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the paneer is heated through.
  7. Serve hot with roti or rice, and garnish with fresh cilantro.
